Growing the UK honeybee population & awareness

My journey so far in the world of bees is one of constant learning and experiences from the wonder of bees. How these tiny creature operate and co-exist as one unit never ends to fascinate, intrigue and amaze.

The goal of this project is to bring beekeeping to industry and to increase awareness of the humble honeybee. It was borne out of my passion for the honeybee and the countryside and to do something positive for the local environment, giving local companies the opportunity to support the honeybee and raise awareness of the plight of bees as well as quite possibly inspiring a new generation of beekeeper.

We are registered members of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA), the National Bee Unit (NBU) which means all our hives are registered on BeeBase and we do everything we can to ensure we maintain a healthy population of bees and reduce the spread of disease.

Here at Bee Sustainable we want to work with passionate local companies who want to make a difference to the local environment and who also understand the need to give something back to the local community.

We offer bespoke annual honeybee management plans for your company. This involves installing a beehive/s on your site which will be managed by us throughout the year, giving your company the benefit of bees without the requirement of extensive knowledge, resources and time. As part of this our goal is to establish a high number of small satellite hive set ups throughout the North East of England on company sites who wish to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and to support the honeybee.
